Description +

Three bags, three roast profiles, one delivery. An espresso blend, an espresso roast single origin and a filter roast single origin, 750g all up. Roasted and shipped by independent Adelaide roasters from our rotating lineup of 13 or more.

Good fit if there is more than one brewer in your house, or you drink espresso in the morning and filter in the afternoon and are sick of choosing. Maybe not if you only ever make one style of coffee, in which case a single subscription is better value.

Sizing help +

250g: one person, one cup a day lasts 2 weeks.

Size can be changed anytime through your customer portal.

We roast one day a week. Order before Sunday midnight and your coffee ships that week, usually Thursday or Friday, and lands within a few days of roasting.

After that, it arrives on your chosen schedule. Pause, skip or cancel anytime from your account.

Dawn Patrol Coffee Roasters

McLaren Vale, South Australia

This fortnight it's Dawn Patrol Coffee, started by Dom Ossa and Nick Suggitt in a shed in Kangarilla in 2014 and now roasting out of an old tractor shed on Main Rd, McLaren Vale. Four coffees land this release: the all-African Cheetah blend, two Colombian single origins split across espresso and filter, and a Mexican mountain water decaf.

Tasting notes Sweet citrus, red fruits, caramel, watermelon, peach, butterscotch

The facts

What you're actually getting

Roaster
Rotates every fortnight. A different independent Adelaide roaster each release.
Roast date
Roasted to order. Shipped 1 to 3 days after roasting, and most arrive within 7 days of the roast date.
Roast level
All three at once. Two roasted for espresso, one roasted light for filter.
Origins
From all over the world. Coffee is seasonal, so the origins shift through the year as different growing regions come into harvest. You might get an Ethiopian one fortnight and a Colombian or Guatemalan the next.
Delivery
Free across Australia. All three bags land together in the one delivery, not spread across the month.
Flavour
Expect a cup with real depth. We lean toward roasters who pull big, satisfying flavour out of their beans, so it never tastes flat or watery. Full notes come with every bag.
Questions

Triple Shot FAQs

Will it actually be fresh? +
Yes. Roasted to order and shipped direct, not warehoused.
Roasted by the featured Adelaide roaster and sent while fresh. Most customers get it within a few days of the roast date.
Can I choose the roaster? +
No, and that's deliberate.
We rotate through all 15 independent Adelaide roasters so you keep discovering ones you'd never have picked yourself. That's the whole point.
Which grind should I pick? +
Match it to how you brew, or go whole bean.
Espresso for machines, stovetop for moka pots, French press for plungers. Not sure? Leave a note and we'll sort it.
Where do you deliver and how long does it take? +
Anywhere in Australia.
Orders placed by Sunday midnight ship Thursday or Friday that week. Most people get it within a few days of it being roasted. Adelaide and the bigger cities are quick, regional spots take a little longer.
What if I want to stop? +
Skip, pause or cancel any time from your portal.
No lock-in, no cancellation fee, no need to contact anyone.
What if I don't like one? +
It happens, and it's part of it.
Every roaster does things their own way, so now and then you'll get one that isn't your usual thing. Most people tell us that's how they found beans they'd never have picked and ended up loving. If something really isn't working for you, tell me and I'll help steer the next one closer to your taste.
Can I gift it, or pause for a holiday? +
Yes to both.
Gift subscriptions run for a set number of deliveries and don't auto-renew, so there's no surprise charge later. Going away? Pause or skip a delivery from your portal and pick it back up whenever you're home.
What actually turns up? +
Three 250g bags in one delivery. 750g all up, around 42 cups.
One espresso blend, one espresso roast single origin, and one filter roast single origin. Three roast profiles, one box, one delivery.
Why three different roasts? +
So every brewer in the house is covered.
The espresso blend and the espresso single origin pull properly on a machine. The filter roast is roasted lighter for pour over, AeroPress, plunger and batch brew. If your household argues about coffee, this is the one that settles it.
Can I choose a different grind for each bag? +
Yes, that is exactly what the three selectors do.
Pick a grind per bag, so the espresso ones can go fine for your machine while the filter bag goes coarser for your V60. Whole bean on all three if you own a grinder. Need something specific? Leave a note on the order and we will sort it.
Can I swap one of the three roasts? +
The three roast profiles are fixed.
That is what makes it a Triple Shot rather than three separate subscriptions. If you only want two profiles, Half and Half is the one you want. If you want a single profile, pick the matching subscription instead.
How long does 750g last? +
About three weeks at two coffees a day.
Roughly 42 cups across the three bags. A single drinker having one a day will stretch it past a month, which is worth thinking about for freshness.
Is it cheaper than three separate subscriptions? +
Yes, because you are on 750g pricing.
Three separate 250g subscriptions are each priced at small bag rates. Triple Shot is priced as one 750g order, so it comes in lower than running three of them side by side.

Hey — quick question to start. How do you make coffee at home? Espresso machine, AeroPress, pour over, plunger, pod machine... whatever it is. And if you know what you're after (milk coffees, black filter, decaf, still figuring it out), throw that in too.
