Description +

Three deliveries of fresh coffee, one a month, paid for in one go. A different independent Adelaide roaster each time, roasted to order and shipped direct. One payment, no card left on file, and it ends on its own after the third delivery.

Good fit if you want to try the rotating roaster thing for a few months without a recurring charge sitting on your card. Maybe not if you want to pause and skip around holidays, in which case the ongoing subscription is the flexible one.

Which size should I pick? +

250g: one person, one cup a day lasts 2 weeks.
500g: 2 cups a day for 2 weeks, or 1 a day for 4 weeks.
1kg: 2 cups a day lasts a whole month, best for couples and sharing.

Not sure? 500g whole bean is the safe pick. Whole bean works for anyone with a grinder, and we can sort the grind out if you tell us.

When does the first one arrive? +

We roast one day a week. Order before Sunday midnight and the first box ships that week, usually Thursday or Friday.

You're not just buying coffee. You're meeting roasters.

Every two weeks a different Adelaide roaster turns up in your letterbox. You start noticing how each one does things differently, you find roasters you'd never have gone looking for, and somewhere along the way you stop drinking coffee and start tasting it.

Kindred Coffee

Adelaide

This fortnight it's Kindred Coffee, started in 2019 by Alex and David with 35 plus years of specialty coffee between them. Four coffees land this release: the Milkman blend, two Rwandans split across espresso and filter, and a Colombian EA decaf.

Tasting notes Rich chocolate, stone fruit, berries, raisins, brown sugar, orange citrus

The facts

What you're actually getting

Roaster
Rotates every fortnight. A different independent Adelaide roaster each release.
Roast date
Roasted to order. Shipped 1 to 3 days after roasting, and most arrive within 7 days of the roast date.
Roast level
Medium roast. Balanced and full-bodied, and it works across every brewing method.
Origins
From all over the world. Coffee is seasonal, so the origins shift through the year as different growing regions come into harvest. You might get an Ethiopian one fortnight and a Colombian or Guatemalan the next.
Delivery
Free across Australia. Orders placed by Sunday midnight ship Thursday or Friday.
Flavour
Expect a cup with real depth. We lean toward roasters who pull big, satisfying flavour out of their beans, so it never tastes flat or watery. Full notes come with every bag.
Questions

3 Month Prepaid Coffee Subscription FAQs

Will it actually be fresh? +
Yes. Roasted to order and shipped direct, not warehoused.
Roasted by the featured Adelaide roaster and sent while fresh. Most customers get it within a few days of the roast date.
Can I choose the roaster? +
No, and that's deliberate.
We rotate through our 13+ roasters so you keep discovering ones you'd never have picked yourself. That's the whole point.
Which grind should I pick? +
Match it to how you brew, or go whole bean.
Espresso for machines, stovetop for moka pots, French press for plungers. Not sure? Leave a note and we'll sort it.
Where do you deliver and how long does it take? +
Anywhere in Australia.
Orders placed by Sunday midnight ship Thursday or Friday that week. Most people get it within a few days of it being roasted. Adelaide and the bigger cities are quick, regional spots take a little longer.
Will I get charged again when it ends? +
No. One payment, then it stops.
There is no card left on file and nothing recurring. When the last delivery lands, that is the end of it. If you want more after that, you start a new one deliberately.
Why prepaid instead of the ongoing subscription? +
Same coffee, same price per delivery. The difference is the billing.
The ongoing subscription charges you each delivery and you can pause, skip or change it whenever you like. Prepaid is one payment for a fixed run of deliveries with nothing recurring after it. Pick prepaid if you would rather sort it once and stop thinking about it. Pick ongoing if you want the flexibility.
When does the first one arrive? +
On the next roast run after you order.
We roast one day a week and dispatch every Thursday. Order before Sunday midnight and your first delivery goes out that week.
What if I don't like one of the coffees? +
Tell us and we will steer the next one.
Every roaster does things their own way, so now and then you will get one that is not your usual thing. Message us and we will aim the next delivery closer to what you actually drink.

Hey — quick question to start. How do you make coffee at home? Espresso machine, AeroPress, pour over, plunger, pod machine... whatever it is. And if you know what you're after (milk coffees, black filter, decaf, still figuring it out), throw that in too.
Something went wrong — try again in a sec.
