A calibrated tamper that tamps at the same pressure every single time. When it clicks, you're done. It takes the guesswork out of tamping, which is one of the sneaky variables that makes your espresso taste different shot to shot for no obvious reason.
Sizing: this is the 58.5mm size for standard commercial-style portafilters. A 53.5mm version also exists, so if you're not sure which your machine takes, check your basket diameter before ordering or drop us a line.
